Hail Damage Insurance Claims 101

Hail is almost always a comprehensive claim. It is not treated like a wreck. Many carriers do not raise rates the same way they do for at-fault collision — your policy still controls that.

The usual path

1. Photograph the vehicle.
2. Call your insurance company and open a comprehensive claim.
3. Get an estimate from a hail shop that works with that carrier.
4. Approve the repair. Most customers at Certified Hail and Dent pay $0 out of pocket once the claim is set up.
